We believe strongly that Christian education must give students a bank of knowledge but must also teach students how to think and be discerning. Our curriculum is the pathway that we use to achieve this goal. Christian education may never be second rate, after all we serve the King of kings and we want to give Him our best. This starts with our curriculum materials. Many of the materials that we use come from Christian organizations that we are acquainted with or which we belong to i.e. CSI, ASCI, ABEKA, or the OACS, one of the most prominent Christian curriculum producers in Ontario. Some of our curriculum comes from the secular press such as Addison Wesley and Nelson. We are able to pick and choose what we feel will assist our students to live in today's culture and to them in being the best citizens that they can be. Our curriculum covers all the regular subjects that you would expect in any school e.g. Math, Language Arts, English, Science, French, Spelling, Social Studies, Music, Art, Physical Education. In addition we have courses in studying the Bible. This involves the Bibles content, stories and its structure. We also have devotions and chapel on a regular basis. Our school and students participate in a number of objective/outside testing. This not only allows us to find out our strengths and weaknesses as a school but also helps us to find out the strengths and weaknesses of each child. This in turn helps us to build a stronger curriculum. Our overall goal is to provide the best curriculum that will assist students to be competent citizens of God’s Kingdom and of Canada.
