ADMISSIONS

ADMISSION PROCEDURES
2007/2008

1. Attend one of our Open Houses or make an appointment with the principal to visit the school or give us a call at 905-640-3297.
   
   
2. Submit the following
   - Admission Application
   - A copy of the child's final report card from the previous year and their current report card
   - A cheque for $35.00/student or $50.00/family to cover the registration
   
   
3. For students applying for JK or SK, a copy of the child's birth certificate and immunization record is required.
   
   
4. An academic assessment may be required. This will consist of a series of standard tests administered by our Special Education Teacher. The principal will meet with the parents to discuss the results.
   
   
5. The parents are required to meet with the Admission Committee (consisting of the Principal and a Board Member) to discuss mutual expectations, financial responsibilities, code of behaviour, parental involvement, etc.
   
   
6. The parents will be notified by phone and a follow up letter of their child's acceptance to SCS.
   
   
7. To reserve your child's place in the class, the following must be submitted.
   – Cheque(s) to cover the membership fee
   – Cheques (these may be post-dated) to cover tuition (as per tuition schedule)
   – Student Profile/Health Form
   – Yearly Permission Form
   – School Property Policy
   – Parental Statement of Support
   

If the class is full, please submit the membership deposit and your child's name will be put on a waiting list. If a space does not open up in the class, the membership deposit will be returned.
