HISTORY

SCS was founded in 1981 by a group of parents who wanted Christ-centred teaching for their children. After much prayer and planning, Stouffville Christian School became a reality. It was the vision of the founding families and churches that the school offer an education that is based on Biblical Principles.

Much has changed in the last two and a half decades. Currently enrollment is on an upswing with over 70 elementary students enrolled for the 2007/08 school year. Plans are now being made for our move to a new facility in September 2007. We are looking forward to our future home and know that it will be an advantage for parents, teachers and children.

The one thing that has not changed at SCS is the focus on a Christian Worldview and its inclusion into the Ontario Ministry of Education Curriculum. More than ever, students need a solid grounding in God's Word in order to understand the pressures of today's culture. The Lord truly has a plan for us. It is our continued responsibility to work and pray so that He may reveal that plan through our efforts.

Through God's guidance and provision we continue to receive enormous and generous support from our staff, families, alumni and the broader community. This year we celebrate 26 years of operation and we look forward to many more years of serving God and educating our future leaders in a Christian Worldview built on solid Biblical principles.
